He Does What He Wants to Do
I'm not one of those writers who believes her characters do whatever they want to do. I'm not interested in interviewing them, asking them what they want to wear or anything of the sort. I'm a plotter--I write what I like. It would feel a little psychotic to believe my characters are in control.
That's not to say they aren't real. They live, love, laugh, cry, win and lose. They make good decisions and bad---sometimes VERY VERY bad. They are my companions and the (naughty) voices in my head. They're my peeps--of course they are real.
But I'm in charge.
